BELOW THE BORDERLINE (THE LEVEL OF IMMERSION) / The diploma thesis focuses on painting and the other related assumptions of its creation (artist’s view) and meaning (viewer’s view). The water level shows the changing level of immersion. Painting is focused on the perception of the image in the area of the landscape, observed from the ground. On the one hand, the viewer can see through painting the depicted subject, but at the same time the main goal is to put it in another defined space – to show him another dimension of viewing, to build barriers and to prevent direct viewing of painting, to find and to understand different contexts. The central theme is the view of the water level and what is happening below it.

POD PRAHOM (ROVINA PONORU) / V diplomovej práci je kladený dôraz na maľbu a s ňou súvisiace ďalšie predpoklady jej vzniku (pohľad umelca) a významu (pohľad diváka). Prostredníctvom vodnej hladiny je znázornená meniaca sa rovina ponoru. Maľba je zameraná na vnímanie obrazu v priestore s námetom krajiny, pozorovanej z podhľadu. Divák môže na jednej strane vnímať prostredníctvom maľby vyobrazený námet, no zároveň hlavným cieľom je uviesť ho do iného vymedzeného priestoru – ukázať mu ďalší rozmer dívania sa, stavať bariéry a znemožňovať bezprostredné nazeranie na maľbu, aby v nej mohol nachádzať a uvedomovať si rôzne súvislosti. Ústredným námetom je pohľad nad úrovňou vodnej hladiny a to, čo sa deje pod ňou. (diplomovej práca)
